The new building of the local police office in Muktinath was inaugurated on the 12th of Bhadra (28th August) by the Chief Minister of Gandaki State Government, Surendra Raj Pandey. According to the district police office Mustang, the newly constructed building and other structures were inaugurated with the financial contribution of Rs 6 million 52 thousand 88 rupees.
Inaugurating the building, Chief Minister Pandey stated that the Gandaki state government is working to increase the housing facilities for local police along with other services. He added that the establishment of a police office in the Muktinath provides security to tourists who come to visit and worship Muktinath Temple and also to residents.
