Types of Rental Vehicles
Here are the different types of rental vehicles in Nepal
Car Rental in Nepal
Car rental services are pretty standard and often used in Nepal. Generally, local or foreign tourists rent a car to travel smoothly from Kathamndu to its surrounding places or other major cities like Chitwan, Pokhara, Lumbini, etc. Car rentals are organized according to the appropriate road conditions rather than off-the-beaten roads. The car rentals are better for the paved roads or highways. If you are also wary about fuel and don’t want to pay extra, renting cars for your gateway is the best way. Some prevalent vehicles available for renting services are Sedan, Hatchback, etc.
Jeep Rental Service
Jeep rentals are also standard in Nepal, mainly off-road or mountainous roads. They also carry 4-5 passengers and have moderate-level cargo space, but the one feature distinguishing jeeps from cars is they drive efficiently on the remote roads of Nepal. One of the most common trips people rent Jeeps for is the Lower and Upper Mustang tour. Jeeps are comfortable on off-roads, muddy, gravel roads like highways. This makes them an excellent choice for traveling in Nepal, where rough roads are familiar. We recommend using jeeps for travel on bad and bumpy roads.
Hiace Rental
Hiace Rental is famous for long tours with prominent families or many friends. Renting cars or jeeps is not ideal for a 10 – 14 people tour. Hence, you can rent a Hiace that will easily accommodate many people. Furthermore, Hiace also has ample space for carrying bags or suitcases for enough people. However, they are also not built for driving on off-beaten roads. So, renting Hiace is an intelligent decision if you plan a family tour or picnic with more than ten people going through well-paved roads or highways.
4X4 & SUV Rental
4×4 pr SUVs are robust vehicles built for trips on rough terrains and off-road tours. These vehicles are the way to go if you need something durable that won’t break down even in the harshest road conditions. They are more significant than jeeps and can carry a few more people with more prominent space for luggage. The harshest off-road conditions in Nepal are in the Annapurna and Kanchenjunga regions, and you often have to rent these vehicles if you want to tour in these road conditions. Furthermore, SUVs are also excellent in fuel efficiency after cars but are pretty pricey compared to other vehicles for renting.
