Overview

Everest classic trek needless to say is one the most popular high altitude trekking routes in Nepal. This trek to the foot of the World’s tallest peak is a boast worthy experience in itself as the base camp sits at 5400 meters.

Filled with the stupendous panorama of mountains and the endearing Sherpa settlement, the trial elevates up the Dudh Koshi valley to Namche Bazaar to Kala Patthar (5555m)- the towering point of our trek. For an adventure enthusiasts no place could be better than this. Along the trail we reach Tengboche Monastery which is the highest monastery in Khumbu region. We also come adjacent to four of the world’s six tallest peaks: Mt Everest, Mt Lhotse, Mt Makalu and Cho- Oyu. There will be a day hike to Nagkartshang Peak.

The journey

Everest Classic Trek starts from visiting the UNESCO world heritage sites in Kathmandu but the 13 day trek will kick off from Lukla; the gateway to Everest which will guarantee you chill while landing on the narrow airstrip on a cliff. After reaching Base Camp (5365m) and trekking Kala Patthar, we return at leisurely pace back to Namche and finally to Lukla for our return flight to Kathmandu.

Upon reaching our destination: The Everest Base Camp- The mammoth Everest and other mountains ranges that stand tall before your eyes is worth way more than the tiredness in your legs.

Trekkers who are in good shape and have little experience of trekking in high altitude can take this trip. But, for trekkers with average physical fitness, Jiri to Everest Base Camp would be the best choice. Furthermore, for more adventurous hikers who love to take up challenge, Everest High Passes Trek is an ideal choice.

Trip Highlights

Hike to Nagkartshang Peak for accimatization

My Everest Classic Trek was an unparalleled adventure! The trek took me through some of the most breathtaking landscapes I’ve ever seen. The challenge was real, but every step was worth it for those stunning views and the incredible sense of accomplishment. The Naata team did their best to make my journey remarkable. Thank you, young gentlemen.

Trip Information

Accommodations

We will be accommodated in Kathmandu Guest House or Maya Manor Boutique or similar in Kathmandu, Himalayan Front Hotel or Water Front Resort or similar in Pokhara and teahouses during the trek. All accommodations are on twin-shared basis. However, single supplement will be served on request and an additional cost of USD 250 will be added. In Kathmandu and Pokhara, we will get luxurious rooms with attached washrooms but teahouses in some places only have shared toilet and washing facilities. We further bring to your notice that single rooms are readily available in Cities and the trekking regions in lower elevation but that might not always be the case at higher elevations.

Meals

Basically, we can enjoy the authentic Nepalese food or the more common international cuisine (Tibetan, Continental, Indian etc) during the trek. Breakfast and dinner will be served from the teahouses or lodge menu where we spend the night. However, our lunch will be served on the way to our next destination. All meals will be provided during trekking while only breakfast will be available in Kathmandu and Pokhara. Apart from that, we will have a welcome and farewell celebration over dinners.

Physical Condition & Experience Requirements

Trekking in Everest region consists of some sort of challenge. These are moderate to strenuous treks suitable for passionate walkers who have the ability to walk at least 6-7 hours a day with a light rucksack. In some days we might even have to walk for 7-8 hours. Also note that walking in higher altitudes is more physically demanding. However, if we are in perfect health with average physical fitness and the adventurous spirit, we can successfully accomplish the trek. Exercising and jogging regularly is a good idea. Past hiking experience is a jewel in the crown but no technical skill is required. We highly recommend that participants with pre-existing medical conditions such as heart, lung and blood diseases should inform Naata Travel & Adventures before booking the trek and also consulting your doctor before the trip is a good idea.

Best Time to Travel

Spring (March to May) and Autumn (September to November) are the best months for this trip. Although this trip can be taken during winter, the cold temperature might not be suitable for everyone.
